The Petroleum Geology of the North West Shelf, Australia

The Petroleum Geology of the North West Shelf, Australia is a training course for professional oil and gas exploration geoscientists working in the region. It has been designed for junior explorers and newcomers to the North West Shelf, (NWS) but also for local, more experienced geoscientists who want a broader view of the basin systems where they are working. The course covers the geological evolution of the entire region and the petroleum geology, exploration history and future potential of all the major hydrocarbon-bearing basins. It is based on public-domain data, mainly from the Federal and State databases and publications, and the many excellent publications in PESA and APPEA journals. The course is generously supported by IHS and EDS.
